Mixologist
Swan Bay Resort is seeking an elite, enthusiastic, and experienced Mixologist to elevate the guest beverage experience across our premier waterfront resort. In this role, you will be crafting both classic and innovative cocktails at two distinct, high-energy, covered outdoor venues:
- The Why Knot Tiki Bar: Our lively, high-volume poolside paradise.
- The Sunset Lounge: Our upscale, panoramic lounge located on the upper deck of the main resort pavilion.
We are strictly looking for a skilled professional who understands flavor profiles, thrives in a fast-paced seasonal resort environment, and can consistently exceed customer expectations with top-tier hospitality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Craft Premium Beverages: Prepare exceptional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for resort guests at both the poolside Tiki Bar and the upper-deck Sunset Lounge.
- Elevate Guest Experience: Interact dynamically with patrons, take precise orders, make expert recommendations based on preferences, and serve select drinks and snacks.
- Menu Execution & Design: Professionally mix, garnish, and present a curated bar menu with speed, accuracy, and flair.
- Operational Control: Assess inventory levels daily; restock and replenish bar supplies, ice, glassware, and garnishes to keep both locations running flawlessly.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly verify customer identifications to confirm legal drinking age and adhere strictly to all NYS food and beverage regulations.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep both covered outdoor bar spaces organized, sanitized, heavily stocked, and visually immaculate at all times.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven Experience Required: A strong, verifiable resume showing solid working experience as a high-volume bartender or dedicated mixologist.
- Advanced Beverage Knowledge: Excellent execution in mixing, flavor balance, garnishing techniques, and up-to-date craft cocktail trends.
- Exceptional Communication: A vibrant, positive attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills to handle large resort crowds.
- Technical & Organizational Aptitude: Computer literacy for modern POS systems; ability to keep multi-location bars meticulously organized and clean.
- Certifications: Relevant professional training or alcohol awareness certification (e.g., TIPS certification) is highly preferred.
- Language: Knowledge of a second language is considered a plus.
