Clayton Opera House - 1903 Historic Theater & Performances
The Clayton Opera House is a historic 1903 theater that underwent a $3.2 million restoration in 2007, transforming it into a year-round cultural institution and performing arts center. Managed by the Thousand Islands Performing Arts Fund (TIPAF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and owned by the Town of Clayton, this beautifully preserved venue is a cultural hub for the Thousand Islands region. The Opera House hosts approximately 170 events annually with attendance exceeding 14,000 patrons, featuring diverse programming including live concerts, Broadway performances, children's theater, comedy shows, dance performances, and community events. The intimate theater offers professional sound and lighting systems with comfortable seating. Located on Riverside Drive in downtown Clayton, the Opera House is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and waterfront attractions. The venue is also available for rental for social functions, business events, and private gatherings. Box office hours Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 10am-2pm during summer season.
